Hello There

I actually had this one done over a week ago, but kept off uploading it because Tory's right arm is bugging me... but by now I'm ready to admit it's as good as it'll get, so here you have it

The warmth was relaxing to Tory, who missed it especially during the long cold months that winter in the Netherlands consisted of. She loved working at GFS and all, but having grown up in Chile, she did miss the warm climate of her home-country.

Joey, on the other hand, was clearly born-and-raised Dutch, as he was sweating profusely, even when he wasn't doing anything at all. Tory had to give the teen props though, as he only was concerned about how Semmi was dealing with the temperature.

Fully confident that Joey would take excellent care of the Obertaurer, Tory wandered over to the meadow where she'd been told her mount for this challenge was residing. Slipping through the fence, she took off her shoes and walked barefoot through the grass. At the top of a little hill she saw him; Hiccup, her assigned mount. He was grazing, but had one ear to her, clearly aware of her presence.

Tory didn't walk up to him, however, instead sitting down some yards away from him. She closed her eyes, letting the sun shine on her even as she was aware of every sound Hiccup was making.

It didn't take him long to curiously make his way over to her. He faltered often enough, but eventually she felt a velvety nose graze her arm.

She slowly opened her eyes, not at all surprised to see his adoringly cute blaze and snip very close to her face.

"Hey there, Hiccup." Tory said gently. "Nothing spooky about me huh?"

Hiccup snorted.

"Seems like you and I are getting better acquainted with each other the next few days, how 'bout that?"

Both characters were made with greyscale shading, while the background was done similar to my entries for the Transcontinental cup. This one was done without a direct ref however. I did look at various images in *saregona's gallery to get an idea of the way the pastures look around her stables - I hope I succeeded.

As mentioned above, I'm not really happy with Tory's right arm/hand (and the left isn't very great either), but it's okay I suppose...
Also; I had the hardest time getting the upper part of Hiccup look darker and it still isn't very visible, but I hope it's at least somewhat clear - and resembling what he's supposed to look like...

Not too sure if I'll manage his level of detail for the other two parts though...
